(by Jérôme Guélat)
I've been fascinated by animals, plants and wild landscapes since I was a child... This passion started when I was hiking in the mountains or enjoying the forest close to my parents' place. While I was growing up I discovered the joy of traveling, and I was particularly enthusiastic about taking (bad) pictures of the places I went to.
After my biology degree, I had the chance to do some volunteering for wildlife conservation in Mauritius. I thus bought a proper DSLR camera with a cheap telephoto lens, and that's how I started to really enjoy wildlife and landscape photography.
I'm currently working at the Swiss Ornithological Institute (http://www.vogelwarte.ch). Please check our website if you want to learn more about our projects.
I hope you will enjoy my pictures!
